ROOF (Reflecting on Our Faith) Parish Book Study Group

This occasional reading and study group is open to men and women—all are welcome to join in the discussion of books as interest arises.  Leadership will shift with the book selected.  Interested in suggesting a title and leading a discussion?  Get in touch with Donna Hissrich (member of the Adult Formation Committee) and share your thoughts.

Past Books Studied

Starting in February, 2016, ROOF discussed the book Toxic Charity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those They Help by Robert Lupton. A Sunday Adult Forum on the topic stimulated much discussion and there was interest in pursuing the topic further. The first meeting was a presentation by Tricia Herban, parishioner, summarizing Robert Lupton’s remarks when he appeared on a community panel at the Columbus Metropolitan Club on February 11, 2016.  Subsequent meetings were held for those wishing to read and discuss the book.
