Christian formation is the lifelong process of growing in our relationship with God, ourselves, others, and with all creation. Every experience in our lives can provide us with the opportunity to express and deepen our faith both as individuals and as part of a community of faith. Adult formation activities and support services are designed for teens through seniors to learn what it is to be a Christian and how to live a life of personal faith, communal worship, shared mission, and social justice. For information about Children and Youth formation, please see their web pages here.
The Adult Formation Committee meets monthly and is responsible for creating a systematic program of Christian education, service, fellowship, and engagement in opportunities to learn, grow, and inspire in our faith. Currently, that program includes Sunday Adult Forums, Book Groups, Summer Films, Seminars, and Workshops, and the St. John’s Parish Library.
Christian Formation can also be accomplished through participation in one or more of the many ministries at St. John’s including Outreach and Social Justice, Worship and Liturgy, Adult Choir, Stewardship, Pastoral Care and more. (Follow links for more information about these ministries.)
