The Rev. Philip College, has been Rector of St. John’s since September 2007. He has extensive experience as a rector, assistant rector, and interim rector and has nurtured parish growth in every parish he has served. He is known for good sermons for both adults and children, sensitive and compassionate pastoral care and counseling, a great sense of humor, the chanting of the liturgy, and good administrative skills. He is a graduate of The General Theological Seminary in New York City. Fr. Philip is married to Edward Lasseigne, Ph.D.

Mother Maggie began her two-year Diocesan Residency placement at St. John’s in October 2016, and was ordained to the priesthood in June 2017. Her ministry focus areas are preaching and worship, outreach and social justice, and pastoral care. Prior to her ordination, Maggie served St. John’s for five and a half years as the Children’s & Youth Ministries Coordinator. She graduated from the Bexley Seabury Seminary Federation in May 2016, where she received both the Henry Hoover Award for Leadership and the Howard Weaver Award for Academic Excellence. Mother Maggie is passionate about building relationships and making connections both within and outside the parish. She lives in Bexley with her husband Jon, son Jesse, and guinea pig, Mr. Chubbikins.

Deacon Deniray Mueller joined the St. John’s staff in 2013. She currently serves at the diocesan level as Legislative Liaison to state and federal government. She co-chairs the Social Justice & Public Policy Network, as well as serves on the Diocesan Restructure Task Force and Ecumenical & Interfaith Relations Commission. She also serves as Deacon—In- Charge of the “In The Garden Ministry” at Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square. Deacon Deniray is married to Dr. Karen Peeler.

Fr. Bob, Honorary Priest Associate at St. John’s, will be volunteering his time and talents to assist in the ministries of St. John’s, during the fall and winter months only. He spends the other half of the year serving St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Winn, Maine. He and his wife, Ann, have four children and five grandchildren.

Karl Stevens is an Episcopal Priest and an artist and writer. He feels very lucky to be working at Saint John’s, where he learns as much from the kids as they learn from him. He believes that all children are naturally theologians, and loves exploring deep questions with kids of all ages. He’s also lucky to be married to the lovely Amy Stevens, with whom he has one glorious child. He shows his art and blogs on his website, prayerbookart.com.

Sara Seidel holds degrees from the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio) and the Indiana University School of Music (now the Jacobs School of Music) in both Organ Performance and Church Music. Her primary teachers have included John Russell, Marilyn Keiser, and Christopher Young; she has also coached extensively with Todd Wilson. Sara also studied piano with Elizabeth Barany-Schlauch and the late Daniel Winter, as well as harpsichord with Elisabeth Wright.
An active recitalist in the Central Ohio area, Sara’s recent solo performances have included those at St. Joseph Cathedral, Columbus, Ohio; All Saints Lutheran Church, Worthington, Ohio; St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Christ Church Cathedral, Cincinnati, Ohio. She has performed with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra (2009), for the 2007 Region V AGO Convention, and for the 2006 Episcopal General Convention. Sara is also a collaborator with tenor Dennis Bassett, with performances in Ohio and Michigan.
Sara is a past dean of the Columbus Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and has also served that organization as registrar and newsletter editor. As the mother of three young children in elementary and preschool, Sara enjoys taking their classes on field trips to nearby churches and introducing the children to the organ, its possibilities, and its repertoire. She and her husband Ted, along with their children, two cats, and dog, live in Upper Arlington.

Vicky is our Office Coordinator. She was born and raised in Columbus and grew up attending St. James’ Episcopal in Clintonville. She and her family became members of St. John’s Worthington in 1994 and is the only full time lay employee. She has three grown sons. Vicky is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Human Ecology. Please contact her with any questions about St. John’s. Virginia is in charge of Information Systems Support. Virginia joined the St. John’s staff in 2007. She currently works with the orders of worship, the monthly newsletter, and information technology. She has a BA in Mathematics from Bluffton College. She worked in the offices at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana for sixteen years before moving to central Ohio. She and her husband Jerry have three children.

Allison Periatt has been our nursery attendant since 2012. She has also been a teacher with St. John’s EEC since 2006. She grew up in Worthington and received an English degree from Wittenberg University. She went on to get a Masters in Teaching degree from Marygrove College. Currently, she is enrolled in graduate courses to obtain a Pre-K through 3rd grade endorsement. She continues to stay busy raising her three teenage daughters, Lindsey, Abby, and Lexi.
Lisa has been a nursery attendant at St. John’s since November 2015. She has a degree in Early Childhood Development and is the mother of four. She has also been a nanny. She works full time as a senior paralegal.
Michael was raised in Worthington and graduated from Thomas Worthington High School. He has an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Otterbein University and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from The Ohio State University, where he studied with Dr. Karen Peeler. Michael was the tenor soloist at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Bexley from 1997-2012 and has been a staff musician at St. John’s since 2015. He also has almost 20 years of experience as Music Director of various high school theatre programs in the central Ohio area, including more than 50 productions with the Thomas Worthington Theatre Repertory program, where he will be returning this fall. Michael also works at UnitedHealthcare, where he is Business Manager for the Medicare and Retirement Grievances department.
Melissa Christophersen Redmill – firstname.lastname@example.org
Melissa Christophersen Redmill was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio in a large family of musicians. She became a member of St John’s with husband, Keith Redmill in 2001 and joined the choir as a soprano member. She became a staff musician at St. John’s in 2006, and co-directed the children’s choir with her husband, Keith, from 2006-2010.
A graduate of the OSU Department of Theatre, Melissa has stage managed with several local theatre companies including CATCO, JCC Gallery Players, and Curtain Players. She has been active as a vocalist in organizations such as The Magpie Consort, Temple Israel Choir, Senior Repertory Theatre, Capital University Choral Union, Vaud-Villities, VoiceColumbus, Trombones Plus and the yearly Judy Garland summer festival in Minnesota.
Melissa has a special interest in Spirituals and Gospel, as well as Big Band and Musical Theatre. She works as a Medical billing patient account representative at OSU Internal Medicine.

Christine is our staff accountant. She and her family became members of St. John’s Worthington in 2007. Christine and her husband Jeff live in Westerville and have three children. Christine served as the church Treasurer for seven years and is also a member of the Outreach and Social Justice committee. Christine has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s of Management Information Systems from Franklin University.
